The best lobsters and meat on Varadero!!! The best waiter Leonel!!! If you say to him “Hi from Andrey and Anna from Ukraine”, you will have the best time there!!!

Hands down the best food I had on my vacation to Cuba. The food was great, we had the beef tenderloin which was fantastic but they also have lobster. Service was also great. The only thing I would say is that the food is a little bit pricey and there aren’t too many options when it comes to entrees. Other than that I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Downtown Varadero.

The name is perfect for what you get. Delicious beef steak. the fish was also nice. La Barbacoa has delicious food, wonderful service and nice location.

Best food in the area by far. If you like seafood then you have to get the lobster. The salmon and steak are good too but the lobster is delicious.

It seemed that every restaurant in varadero was serving lobster, so it was a hard choice but I think I made the right one in the end. At first it started off a bit rocky simply because I,was not a Spanish speaker and there was some confusion over how to pay. I asked if I could pay with my MasterCard and was told yes. My card was returned and I was told it didn't work so I paid by cash. But the most important thing was the food, it was beautiffuly presented and was absolutely delicious and fresh.It was served with pineapple rice, peppers and a bit of salad and melted garlic butter. I also ordered a Bucannero Malta drink to go with it. The service was great and the manager spoke reasonable English. I would recommend this restaurant witthout hesitation. To confirmed my recommendation after I had my meal I went back to the hotel and checked my bank account, it turned out that the payment had left my account, the reception at the hotel called them and told them and i was asked to go back to collect the payment next day and I was paid back the full amount taken from my card, in cash.This is a bautiful restaurant in a lovely location and you feel as if you are eating alfresco but you are inside. Great staff and nice and clean.

A bit pricey compared to less formal restaurants (70 for 3 people), but my friend was craving beef and it's one of the only places that has decent sized steaks, food/drinks were great and entertainment lovely!
